Provenance
Kashan has been synonymous with fine Persian rug weaving since the Safavid era. This rug was woven by a family workshop in the old city quarter where the craft has passed from father to son for generations. The wool was hand-spun and dyed with natural madder and indigo before knotting began — a process that took a team of three weavers approximately fourteen months to complete.
