Provenance
The Heriz district villages — Heriz, Ahar, Mehriban, Bakhshaish — have produced geometrically-patterned carpets for centuries. Village weavers worked from memory rather than drawn cartoons, giving each rug a slightly different interpretation of the same inherited design vocabulary.
